and for a brief moment, its glory and beauty belong to our world.
But then it flies again,
And though we wish it could have stayed...we feel lucky to have seen it at all.

Bill, I met you and your girls last month at your mom's Dodds teachers dinner party. Believe me, I was so impressed with your strength. Since then I've prayed for Heidi and your family daily. However, God had other plans. Please take comfort in the memory that Heidi's star hone brightly while she was here.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for you loss. While I didn't know Heidi well, the proof of her character "is in the pudding" - your daughters are beautiful and talented and most impotantly a joy to be with. Our whole family will have you in our thoughts. Emily is anxious to see Rachel and put her arms around her.

You have always been a rock and an inspiration to everyone that knows you, and your dedication to Heidi over the past few years is a testament to the special bond that you had together. ReplyDeletePeace,

Dear bill, Shelby, Rachel and Jillian- I know Heidi is with god now and out of pain, but it still hurts so bad. You have been so strong and doing so much try to take some time for yourself and mourn and let others help. Whatever I can do please let me know. This couldn't have happened to a better person or sweeter family. So much love. Try to take comfort that god shared her with us and that we have a beautiful angel with a beautiful smile walking with us through life until we see her again. All my love--Missy and family

I am so sorry for your loss Bill. I lost my father to this horrific illness a little over a year ago and my sister has had it for 13 years. My heart aches for you and your daughters. Tears are streaming down my cheeks. Heidi was so strong and brave. I am so grateful that she had you and your beautiful girls in her life. Heidi knew and felt how much you loved her because I felt it and I don't even know you or your family. I will fight this illness till my own last breath because of women like Heidi and her story. I love you and your family very much and you are in my heart and prayers. God Bless you Bill and your beautiful girls. Heidi, you are a work of art, signed by God. My his angels embrace you in love.
ReplyDeleteWith deepest sympathy,
April and family

I am a ADPI sorority sister of Heidi's and we were in each others pledge class together. I was just looking up old friends on facebook and found her and was so excited to see her beautiful smiling face only to learn of this heartbreaking news. I must have been drawn to finding her and learning of this news. She was an amazing, loving, honest, sweet person with the biggest heart. She will greatly be missed by all. Please let the girls know that she touched so many people's lives just by being Heidi. Bill, I know you must be an amazing man if you were her husband. God Bless you and your adorable girls. Know that she is looking over you as she was like an angel on earth. Much love and deepest sympathy, Leslie (Granger) Fidler (lgranger@tampabay.rr.com)
